Welcome Note

Hey Pedalphiles,
Just thought we might as well catch up with technology bandwagon and jump on this fun world of blogging. Since we talk all like to chit chat so much during our ride, why dont we chit chat some more during our non riding time.

So for the first ever PCC Blog topic :
What do you think ? Does bike shops make more money off mountain bikers or roadies ? Personally I think mountain bikers even though the parts are relatively cheaper they break faster.

Finally PCC is up to date with the techie world, and I don't mean just bike parts. Well 90% of blogs go inactive, and 90% of those get no readers. Let's see . . .

i think maybe publishing the sunday TnG rides and the Sunday MnD rides here would be a plus too. Sometimes, downloading an attachment is a chore.
Re: What a lazy world we live in

Hi Alex,
Nowadays blogs have morphed into whatever goes. So do not need to be too concerned about the definitions. Just use this as a platform to communicate with each other.

I know how we can popularise the blog. Get Mou Tack Teng to write and comment on his rides. I'm sure pcc will be keen to read it. Just make sure the write up is proprietory to this blog.

Personally I think these con man pocket more profit from road bikes. Reason is they emphasis so much on every ounce and grams and every 100gm reduction cost in thousands. Wort of all is customers like us do not realize that we can save many grams and ounces by reducing weight and cycle more what cost nothing. Ha ha

Cheers guys.

I wanted to ask if others also had a preferred site to land on, when falling off a bike at speed.

Cats are reputed to land on their feet, but I seem always to hit the ground or tarmac leading with my right shoulder. It got another whack last week.

Do I have an internal gyro that spins me clockwise (when seen from the rear) when I lose contact with the bike, so that in that short but always memorable moment of free flight, I turn through about 30 degrees of arc?

I guess I should not complain, because if I did not spin, maybe I would touch down head first.

That's all.

i'd say both ( road and mtb) .. funny that sometimes i got to service my own bike...coz they rather sell bling parts than to put time to service the customers bike.

Well done PCC, for the organised rides and events, for the feature-packed Spokes & Nipples newsletter, and now for the blog. Deservingly, you got mentioned in my blog (by my parents la). Go to www.tingkam.blogspot.com. Keep it up, forget about flintstone's 90% things...

Thanks qiqi, I only wish people would blog more. This is meant to be a community blog and not so much a personal blog. So it should not be me blogging all the time. Common folks free your mind and blog like crazy !
